While you will also have the option of using rattan or wicker as a backup material. The most typical material used for outdoor furniture frame construction is aluminum, which is a lightweight and long-lasting metal. Because there is so much aluminum available, it is ideal for outdoor furniture and the least expensive kind of furniture frame to produce. And although though wrought iron is more expensive, it is the most durable material you will find.

“Alooominum” or “aliminiyaim” or however you want to pronounce it can be both beautiful and durable. I personally like it because of its sleek and modern look. During my art days at University, I was a follower of the “Bauhaus” movement. So if you see the similarities in styling between the different materials you will understand why.
Wood.
With its deep, rich hues and inherent strength, wood adds a cozy atmosphere to any outdoor setting. Acacia wood is suitable for outdoor use, such as for furniture, provided it has been thoroughly dried off. However, if it is not completely dry, it tends to bend. Although I like teak, Acacia has the advantage of being more affordable and environmentally friendly. Like any wood, it needs to be refinished and maintained at least every two years to keep its color and a protective coating.
Wrought Iron.
Wrought Iron is one of the most durable and longest-lasting types of outdoor furniture available that can last decades. Wrought iron furniture has the heaviest frame, and because of the weight factor alone, I dislike it. While it may look just as good as any other material, it’s expensive to move ( If moving house) and if you are getting older it can be difficult to pick up and move around the house or garden.
Rattan/ Wicker
The fiber used to weave wicker is rattan. It is a plant that originates from hot, tropical areas and is grown in Australia, Asia, and Africa. There are synthetic variants as well, which can be very durable. Natural rattan is renowned for being robust and long-lasting, but the quality of the synthetic variety will depend on the materials used and the location where you purchased it. Rattan from a business that invests in quality will be stronger than less expensive poor quality synthetic rattan. The price of natural rattan increases as a result of the hazardous conditions that harvesters frequently labor in and can cost $35.00US per roll. These costs are passed along and it can make the product quite expensive.
